Reimagining Henry's Choice Denimwear
Comfort being at the heart of the brand’s design,
Henry Choice focuses on casual and atemporal designs.
The persona of Henry Choice remain open to the interpretation;
their unisex basic denim contributed to the creation of some
iconic collections such as Big Living and Girl’s basic showcasing
strong fit youth in baggy fits highlighting assets of each gender.
Going on from that and from their Norwegian roots, I decided to
refer back to the mountaineers and their dress as well as imaging
how would it be for a hiker, farmer, land owner, little girl or boy to try
and recreate a Jean Paul Gaultier denim look in their aesthetic.
As for the mountaineers, comfort , as henry choice’s mantra, is essential
for them to go through their normal day and activities which requires space
and unrestrictive clothing.
Therefore, my designs reflect both the mix of denim layering, easiness in
movement, comfort, as well as the used historical feel a garment can have
when have been worn over and over again through mud and rocks.
